HISTORY:

Richmond Printing Service was formed in 1972 by Robert and Betty Salmons at 908 West Grace Street. Robert had previously been employed in printing since graduating high school. Having never worked in printing, Betty took classes on stripping and negative making at Richmond Technical Center (the first woman to take these classes).

After five years and the addition of two employees we moved to 1615 West Broad Street and bought the building. Ten years later in 1987 with 4 employees we moved 2 blocks west to our current location of 1806 West Broad Street (6000 sq ft) with 12 employees.

In 1994 we bought the adjoining building with 12000 sq feet of space. This gave us ample room to expand. In 1998 Richmond Printing Service, LLC became a 51% Woman owned business. Our son (Robert E. Salmons, Jr.) employed in 1980, is involved in the daily running of the business. He has been a major part of our success.
